The Penn State pedophile tragedy by former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky took out an icon, football legend of almost 46 years…head football coach, Joe Paterno.
Joe reported the lurid event, witnessed by a young assistant, to the Penn State College President and several other college officials were made aware of the allegations but turned their heads and Paterno did not notify Police authorities.

Joe Paterno

Joe made his worst call from the sideline in his illustrious career. Not following through to stop this from continuing. For that he lost the game of his life, big time. And for that he was unceremoniously fired by a bunch of sideline trustees who sat in review with nothing better to do than save “their” respective asses. This tragedy runs deep through the Penn State University halls and the legal ramifications are just entering the early stages. Each of the young boys’ families are expected to bring lawsuits against many entities within the Penn State University hierarchy and it appears they have every right to pursue them to the fullest.

Herman Cain

It’s been a week of bombs for the Republican Presidential hopefuls also.
Herman Cain is accused of making sexual advances toward at least four (4) women co-workers or is five (5), or is it more? Hermie says none… and can’t remember any of his accusers, but states that they are all liars and are trying to undermine his Presidential bid, along with the Perry camp, or is it the Democrats? Trying to keep up with his excuses and memory loss will surely sink his ship… excuse me, his “dingy” well offshore.

Rick Perry has a spell, a brain teaser, a brain lapse, a brain freeze… or excuse me, does Perry have a brain?
You can decide and please “Mr. Big Hat No Cattle”… throw in your bandanna!
Thank you.

Ranter, The two goof balls, that is Perry and Cain, represent the quality of candidates the Republicans can put up for the highest office in the land. In yesterday’s CBS poll, the Newt, also known as the lizard, was the third highest preference among Republicans. “What is our world coming to?”

Now for Mr. Paterno. How could the most revered coach in college football throw it all away. There is not much that can be said here. I do hope Penn State recovers

      Santafean:

Thanks for reminding me of the real biological name for Newt, or the Lizard. I tend to refer to him as “Newt, The Coot” which is very unfair to all the unique water fowl that bear the name…”Coot” (common name: Water Turkey). From now on…he’s “The Lizard!” It fits him perfectly. A sneaky, crawling on its belly kinda varmint that hibernates each winter as it is cold blooded. A perfect analogy for him and his political maneuvering.

The Nite Ranter readers are the best!!!

And yes, I too hope that Penn State recovers from this bombshell.

Rick Perry is an idiot. Herman Cain is a closet womanizer. Joe Paterno should have known better and not shoved this situation under the rug. Come on — Joe Pa has superiors? My ass! He runs that place (or did). And why hasn’t assistant coach Mike McQueary been canned as well? Instead of going into that shower stall and stopping Sandusky he ran to his daddy and coach. And this soft sell of “molesting”? Come on… Sandusky raped a little boy. Had him up against a shower wall, naked, committing sodomy. Not to mention the other little boys… Let’s call it what it is. And the others? Nothing but greedy cowards. Come on Nite Ranter… would YOU have stood by and then run to daddy?

      Hazel:

You are sooooo correct…it is a travesty the way this has played out and Joe fumbled the ball and the referees were blind & now we have the biggest most bazaar occurrence, to my knowledge, in NCAA Football history. Very sad for the victims and their families.

In answer to your question, The Nite Ranter would probably be in jail for assault & battery on a football coach (Jerry Sandusky) had I been witness to the event in the shower at Penn State. My Dad would never have come to my mind until I needed bail to get me out of jail.

This entire thing gets sicker by the hour.
